Even when there is a recession, beauty parlours still flourish. Beauty products still fly off the shelves. There is this saying that beauty is skin deep. Then again, first impressions count. Put it this way. Beauty is power. That was true centuries ago. That is true today. When a beautiful woman walks into a bar, men flock to her and offer to buy her drinks. When an unattractive woman walks into the same bar, chances are, she would have to buy her own drinks. A beautiful salesperson, man or woman is more likely to win the sale. Between a beautiful job seeker and an unattractive one, all other things being equal, the employer is likely to choose the good looker. Like it or not, looks do count. In the past, when women were dependent on men to support them, beauty was everything to a woman. A beautiful woman would have more suitors. She would be able to marry up. To marry a rich man who could take care of all her financial needs and that of her children. Long before commercial cosmetics existed, mothers would instruct their daughters on traditional beauty remedies graduation dinner makeup. Simple beauty remedies like using mayonnaise as a moisturizer, or egg white as a firming mask were often used by women in the days before commercial cosmetics. Then along came women entrepreneurs like Estee Lauder and other women from around the world. They converted traditional beauty recipes which worked for themselves into beauty creams that they sold to other women. Every woman has a right to look her most beautiful and these women were selling others their beauty secrets. Make up was used to paint women’s faces. In Egypt, the nobles, royalty and the well off would paint their eyes with khol, with crushed beetles and exotic ingredients. In Europe, women would paint their faces with make up containing toxic mercury for the sake of beauty. In Japan, the geishas would whiten their faces with creams that contain nightingale droppings. You would think by now, we modern women would have learnt our lesson. Now, we just inject poison into our faces to paralyze our facial muscles in order to prevent expression lines from deepening as we grow older. Think of those botox injections done every 3 months to erase those wrinkles. Think of the acids we smear on our faces to smoothen them. The dermabrasion procedures done at the dermatologist in order to smoothen our skin. Women all over the world have always been willing to suffer for the sake of beauty. Long ago, in China, women in wealthy families would bind their feet. The Chinese back then view tiny feet as beautiful, so little girls have their feet bound, to prevent them from growing big and ugly. Now that long legs are considered beautiful, some women go through a very painful medical procedure that breaks their legs, and stretches their legs by a few millimeters a day through a painful device until they attain the height they want. With their newfound height, these girls can look forward to a wealthy Sculptra, glamorous future as an international model. In Europe, centuries ago, wasp waists and curvy bodies were considered beautiful, so corsets were worn to make the waist look much smaller. These were tied so tightly that women faint easily. All for the sake of beauty. Now, corsets are in again. These days, women and men subject themselves to surgery to attain the beauty they desire. Liposuction to remove the excess fat to contour the body. Breast augmentation for bigger breasts that are considered beautiful. Nose jobs, face lifts, the works. Thankfully, there is also a return to natural beauty remedies. This time, commercial cosmetics use natural ingredients that women have used for centuries in the home beauty preparations. These are effective and great for the skin the pavilia bay.
Permanent Laser Hair Removal
Many people are burdened by what society has deemed “unsightly” hair. Shaving is only a brief solution to this problem and quickly leaves tell-tale stubble. Plucking or waxing are painful and the results do not last much longer than shaving. So what is the best way to permanently remove hair from areas such as the upper lip, chin, neck, armpits, forearms, back, chest, legs, or bikini line reenex HydraFacial? Many people are now discovering the benefits of laser hair removal, a non-invasive procedure that removes unwanted hair.
However there are limitations on who should have laser hair removal done. For starters, the laser works by searching for hair follicles to destroy based upon melanin. Melanin is the pigmentation in hair and skin. Thus, it is harder to target hair that is red, white, gray or true blond, and will not be as effective. Furthermore, people with more melanin in their skin (those who have dark skin or are tanned) risk skin discoloration by undergoing laser hair removal treatment because the laser will target the melanin in the skin chef jobs in singapore. Thus, the ideal candidate for laser hair removal is someone with pale skin and dark hair.
For people who decide to undergo laser hair removal, there are different settings that affect the outcome of the procedure. First, the laser technician can set the pulse length, and most will chose longer pulses as long pulsed lasers tend to be safer. Second, they can adjust the fluence according to your skin. Different types of skin require different energy levels. Third, the technician sets the delay between laser pulses. The difference this gives is the time that skin and hair follicles are allowed to cool between pulses polar. Fourth, different spot sizes can be chosen. Larger spot sizes will reach deeper to the follicle. Last, cooling methods are chosen. The procedure can be unpleasant because of the heat emitted so the skin can be cooled by gels, sprays or lasers that have cooling tips which are pressed to the skin.

Lens Technologies Found On Glasses
With so many glass lens technologies out there designed to block out all sorts of light, where do you turn? Don’t worry; terms like photochromic and polarized may have stumped even Einstein! These words don’t have to be as near as confusing as they sound.
In this article I will discuss the major technologies currently being employed on glasses and sunglasses everywhere office furniture for rent. By learning exactly what these technologies do, you can decide on whether or not they are worth your money.
Polarized Lenses – In short, polarized glasses stop polarized light. What is polarized light? Polarized light is light that travels in one plane, while non polarized light travels randomly. A good example of polarized light is the glare that comes off of a lake when you look at. Another example is the glare that comes off of a smooth surface, such as a car.
“So how exactly do polarized lenses stop polarized light” you may be asking yourself. Polarized lenses work because of a polarized filter that is applied to them. Polarized filters are generally made from molecules that align themselves horizontally, and will thus filter light that matches their alignment. Since polarized light is usually horizontally aligned, these polarized filters absorb this light. Look at using polarized sunglasses if you are around water a lot.
Check out http://travel.howstuffworks.com/sunglass4.htm for a great example of how to test a pair of polarized shades to see whether or not they really are equipped with polarized lenses Tour operators.
Photochromic – Typically tinted grey, photochromic lenses really are a marvel of modern technology. Developed in the late 1960s photochromic lenses are designed to darken when exposed to UV light, and then lighten when UV light is absent. Outside in the sun photochromic glasses will darken — But once they are brought back inside without the presence of the sun, they will go back to normal.
Even under artificial light, photochromic lenses will stay light. The molecules that make up a photochromic lens react only to UV rays, and this is the reason behind their change when exposed to the sun.
Mirrored Lenses – How do mirrored lenses get their signature chromed looks? An ultra thin metallic coating is applied to all mirrored lenses, and this is how they achieve their mirror like shine. Most of the time, only about half of the reflective layer needed for 100% light filtering is applied. What this equates to is that about half of the light that hits mirrored lenses will get through. Some mirrored shades even have graduated mirroring — The top usually being the heaviest, thus blocking more of the sun from above.
Anti-Reflection Coatings – One of the many coatings sometimes applied to sunglasses, the anti-reflective coating stops back glare. Back glare is from light that comes from behind the wearer, reflecting off the inside of the lenses, and causing an annoying glare.
Scratch-Resistant Coatings – Unfortunately, optical quality plastics are generally not as scratch resistant as glass – Especially polycarbonate. What a scratch-resistant coating does is prolong the life of a pair of lenses. Generally a scratch-resistant coating is simply an optically clear hard film, which can take more of a beating than CR-39 or polycarbonate plastics.
UV Coating – Most sunglasses available provide a lot of UV protection, which is exactly what you want. Prolonged UV radiation can cause a whole host of problems which can simply be stopped by wearing sunglasses. Make sure your sunglasses block at least 99% of UVA and UVB rays!
Being able to distinguish the difference between the many lens technologies currently available isn’t just great for coffee table talk — Knowing the difference can literally save your eyes custom fabric labels .

Is Cosmetic Surgery Right For You?
For many of us, we go through most of our lives paying minimal attention to our skin. Sure, we moisturize and hopefully use our SPF30 on a regular basis but pampering our skin on a daily basis is not practical for most people.
Then one day we wake up and notice that the face we’ve paid little attention to over the years has just started looking a little worn. We might begin to see a few more noticeable lines or we might look a little tired with bags under our eyes hair transplant price. Our eyelids may look a bit droopier and our cheeks might sag a little more than they use to.
Ten to twenty years ago there weren’t many options to droopy, saggy, wrinkled skin but today we have lots of them and cosmetic surgery is looming to the top of the list as one of the most popular remedies around High Availability Software.
Did you know that according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, men accounted for 1.2 million cosmetic procedures in 2004? It’s a known fact that men don’t want to look any older than women do.
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) the top 5 cosmetic procedures were:
2 Breast Augmentation
3 Eyelid Surgery
5 Chemical Peel
1 Nose Reshaping
2 Eyelid Surgery
4 Hair Transplantation
5 Breast Reduction
The new five-year trending data shows cosmetic procedures are up 24 percent from 2000.
Also in the running are the non-surgical procedures which have increased as much as 7% in 2004. They include such procedures as:
- Laser hair removal
- Chemical peels
So is cosmetic surgery right for you?
Well, I can’t speak for everyone but there are a few things to consider and some questions you should ask yourself before going under the knife..
First and foremost, cosmetic surgery is ‘surgery’ and it hurts – ouch! As with any surgery, there is a healing period and there is swelling and puffiness immediately afterwards. Don’t expect to look beautiful right out of surgery. It’s going to take some time and patience.
Understand that a nose job or a face lift won’t necessarily make you beautiful and it probably won’t change how the world feels about you. In fact, patients have been known to feel a sense of disappointment after their procedures and for this reason it’s important to understand how significant the changes will be, they may only be very subtle.
If you’re considering plastic surgery ask yourself these things first:
Why do I want cosmetic surgery? Who am I doing this for?
If it’s because your friend says you have a big nose or if you think looking more beautiful for your husband he will pay more attention to you then, you’re a poor candidate. Hoping to impress your friends or hoping your husband will be more attentive are poor reasons.
A new face, nose or body won’t change how others feel about you and if it does, it will only be temporary.
Can I afford This?
Most cosmetic surgery is not covered by health insurance unless it is health related. If you have to scrape money together to do this you’re better off looking into non-surgical or less invasive treatments.
What if the results are not what I expected? Again, there’s a chance that expectations won’t be met. Be sure you are ready financially and emotionally to undergo more treatment if you’re results are underwhelming.
As with any high cost, risky procedure, think it through. Don’t act on a whim. Discuss the procedure with relatives and friends. Get some outside opinions.
If you’re still interested in pursuing cosmetic surgery be sure you are in good health. A good candidate doesn’t smoke, is emotionally stable and does not experience any major health disorders such as heart disease Honorary Fellowship, diabetes or blood pressure issues.

Hair Raising Stuff
Definately without a doubt it was a new image that was needed for my summer holiday. I was sick and tired of looking like the queen with the same hairstyle for as long as I could remember.
Well that was all about to change as I went on a rampage emptying every shop shelf of every glossy magazine that I could find. That evening all engagements were cancelled with Coroanation St, Emmerdale and Eastenders. Sacrafices had to made as I was on a mission to find the new me PolyU Wechat.
Settled down for the evening with every brochure and mag at my side, flicking through every page not leaving one unturned. Surely there had to be a style in one of them that was going to help me in my quest in finding the new image that I so badly craved.
A couple of hours of browsing had elapsed, and low and behold there jumping out at me as plain as day was the most wanting to die for hairstyle you ever did see. This was it with out a doubt. The style that I knew was going to give me a new lease of life.
After a visit to the shops armed with hair colouring lotions conditioners scissors etc. I raced up the stairs to the bathroom missing every other step. I was so excited. Why would I not be excited? tomorrow I was to be a different person. No animosty spared between the old image in the mirror as I said my goodbyes
Smelling like a peroxide skunk I carried on following the instructions on the box. No matter how sweet scented that sachet of conditioner was it was not powerful enough to rid the odour that lingered all around. It was all going to be worthwhile I said to myself glancing down for about the hundredth time at the picture in the mag. Forty minutes was up and it was now time to rinse dry and style Туристические публикации и пособия о Гонконге. (Enter the blonde bombshell)
Staring down at the picture in the magazine and back to my reflection in the mirror, told me something was wrong. Two styles couldnt be any more different.
I followed the instructions as prompted, where could I have gone wrong? I screamed. I will tell you came a voice from the other side of the bathroom door. It was my husband who on hearing all the fuss decided to check out what was going on. I will tell you what is going on I yelled back at him.
Explaining how I felt about myself I handed him the magazine with the picture of this fabulous hairstyle on this beautiful model. He looked for a long while at the photo and then back at me. Repeating this motion many times.
Darling I do not want to upset you he replied, but the reason that you will never have that look is because you do not have that face POLA. So why not make do with what God gave you. I have made do with what god gave you for 34 years and I still like what I see.
