rumpoperation… ass out of luck.

A modern proverb came to mind, ”Beauty is pain,” never did I imagine it was death. A tragic incident befell, model and previous ’94 Miss Argentina winner, Solange Magano, she was 23. Going in for what seem to be a routine buttocks operation to firm her tushy ended up taking her life.

I speak no ill will on the poor woman, I just have an issue with the bigger picture. The stark world that individuals like Solange have to work in. Plastic surgery if you have any idea what it entails, is a fairly brutal procedure. Not only the procedures but the cut throat industry that models like herself have to deal with. Now, I am 23, I guess by industry standards, chopped liver, until I have the same aged nuance like George Clooney. But really, does anyone really need to get their ass lifted at 23? Who was the deviant that advised this poor dove into think that she need this?

We could sit and blame the parents, or blame the industry, but what good would that do?  Beauty, is social-biological phenom, it depends on what is classified as beauty in any given society and the lines are being blurred with globalization. These kind of incidents, strength my opinions about education for youngsters, and not just for females, though they have gotten the short end of the stick. Education that promotes a more holistic approach to beauty and art-form.

Not to be hypocritical, my past behavior has not illustrated an altruistic perception to this point. However, if I am able to question this depravity, then  I am not the only one who should, because this issue of ”what is beauty is?” is going bottoms up and it’s resulting in death.
