Hammer Pants!

It’s a bright and sunny day here in San Francisco, reaching a steady
and brisk temperature of 18 degrees. Fall is in full force here in the
city and will usually stay at this temperature during the winter as
well. Fall fashion is in full gear, the bright colors of summer have
been traded in for browns, grays, and blacks. Walking through Union
Square into the heart of the finacial district tall fitted leather
boots and black flats are the choice for most women here. Of course
there is always the jungle crowd, who dress like they got advice from
Toucan Sam and picked their colors from a Fruit Loops cereal box.

Oh how bad fashion dies hard here, no joke. Down in the Haight-Ashbury
district the location of the Summer of Love in 1969, didn’t get the
memo, that it’s 2009, and the Summer of Love is now a historical event.

Myself, I can’t lie, not at all a adviser on fashion sense, just a
gentleman who keeps his eyes open. I wouldn’t mind wearing a smock if
it wasn’t murderous for my reputation. I am way more casual than some
of these fashion zealots; button down shirt and jeans, and to keep my
punk-rocker status, some low-top black converse shoes. I like to stay
under the radar.

Luckily one of my friends, from Toronto, who owns a boutique will drop
the brutal truth on me when I am out of the bounds of good dressing
taste. Cameron, moved here from from Toronto, to escape the cold, like
most northerns and let loose his oppressed homosexuality. You would
never think Cameron was Gay; well built man, very clean, and well
dress…. LOL! Yeah, who am I kidding.totally flaming. However, his
bed-room and private activities are non of my concern and he knows that
I sail, ”straight.”

I bumped into Cameron today, as I was walking down to the cafe. The man was fashioning some crazy looking pants that I have started noticing around the area. The best way to describe is a fitted waist, with a baggy crouch, where it seems that extra fabric from each of the thighs connect and then divide at the knee. I will get a picture next time I see him in them. It was unique, as if the costume designers of Blade Runner, and the inventors of MC Hammer’s parachute pants had a child that manifested the pants that Cameron was wearing. I may purchase a pair when I need a wardrobe for skydiving, I get some wicked gliding action in the air with those pantaloons hahaha.

It’s a bright and sunny day here in San Francisco, reaching a steady and brisk temperature of 18 degrees.
