But what everybody does not know is what\u00a0effects nicotine has on endurance, especially building muscle mass. Smoking kills healthy cells in the body which makes you perform worse.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n5 things that nicotin does to your body:<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nYour heart beats faster &#8211; On average, smoking contributes to 30% increase in heart rate. When your heart is stimulated to beat faster reducing your energy to workout when energy goes to the increased heart rate. This in turn gives an obvious deterioration of the results.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nReduces oxygen in the blood &#8211; Your muscles are in need of oxygen. Low volume of oxygen has a negative impact on performance and muscle growth.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nLower testosterone levels &#8211; Smoking contributes directly to lower your testosterone levels. Testosterone levels are very important for muscle growth.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nStamina &#8211; Since smoking reduces your endurance so get there significant performance degradation on your training. To not have the energy left to cope with the 1-2 final rehearsals (which you would otherwise have passed) provides significant deterioration of the results.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSicker &#8211; Smokers are more sick than non-smokers.
