Jag läste Imans biografi här på hemsidan och vill säga att även om den största gruppen som idag använder olika former av huvudsjalar och huvudbonader, både kvinnor och män är muslimer så är inte dessa plagg lika med en muslimsk symbol som halvmånesymbolen. Jag tex, bär huvudsjal som en del av min klädsel och uttryck för min tro och jag är messiansk troende. Vill påminna om att det finns många olika religiösa grupper som bär olika former av huvudsjalar och huvudbonader liknande de som muslimer bär. Det finns till och med en grupp ultraortodoxa judiska kvinnor som bär ansiktsslöja i Israel. Det är ju även så att dessa plagg förmodligen först bars av judar. Även om de flesta människor i olika religiösa grupper särskilt i västvärlden, slutat med sin tradition av att bära huvudsjalar/huvudbonader någon gång under 1900-talet betyder inte det att den inte ännu lever kvar hos andra, mindre grupper.
Sen vill jag också säga att jag ser inget fel i att folk provar att bära huvudsjalar eller olika huvudbonader endast som modeaccessoarer bara för att de tycker om det estetiska uttrycket. Jag har hört vissa muslimer uttrycka ett ogillande mot att huvudbonader som liknar sk Hijab har blivit mode \”för att tjejen som bär dem inte förstår innebörden av Hijab och kommer bete sig opassande för den klädseln\”. Jag tycker personligen det vore bra om huvudsjalar blev ännu mer modernt och började bäras av många flera tjejer igen, även icke troende. För jag tycker att man ska döma människor endast efter hur de beter sig. Det verkar som om många muslimer tycker att kvinnor som bär sk Hijab måste vara mkt modestare och bete sig bättre än alla andra kvinnor i en massa avseenden, det verkar vara en press på att de ska vara så gott som perfekta. Om många fler bar denna form av kläder skulle det vara en mer avslappnad och realistisk inställning till det tror jag. har faktiskt hört flera muslimska tjejer säga att de vill, men inte klarar att bära Hijab pga denna press från andra muslimer att de måste vara så perfekta då och i kombination med fördomar och diskriminering från icke-muslimer. Förresten så tror jag att födomarna mot kvinnor som bär detta plagg har mkt att göra med att det anses främmande eller omodernt. Så om det blev mer modernt och vanligt i västerländska samhället igen skulle fördomarna och diskrimineringen minska rejält också. Jag tycker därför att det du gör med design av huvudsjalar och huvudbonader som mode som kan bäras av alla är ett riktigt bra sätt att bygga en bro mellan praktiserande muslimer och majoritetssamhället.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell
