A woman was killed Wednesday in Bakersfield after her boyfriend shot her.
The 28-year-old woman was walking outside with her ex-boyfriend in the 2100 block of South Ladd Avenue in the city’s Northgate neighborhood at about 12:20 a.m., when her ex-boyfriend drove up and opene카지노d fire. The ex-boyfriend crashed through a door and fired the fatal shots, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The woman was killed shortly after her ex-boyfriend drove away.
Police believe her ex-boyfriend walked to the car parked near her home, then drove away, according to KFOX-TV.
“We are devastated right now by the loss of our officer officer. We were all on that night looking for the guy,” BPD Officer Nick DiBona said Wednesday night. “He wasn’t with us when the shooting happened.”
The officer, who is white, was wearing a bulletproof vest and bulletproof clothing, according to the BPD.
A memorial is set for 4pm Friday at 601 South LaVista Avenue, where officers will gather for remembrance.
