Water restrictions loom sydney dam levels drop in drought hit area
Worried about future flooding of a key wetland area and fearing floodwaters could reach the city, the Federal Government has decided to reduce water restrictions on some areas of eastern Sydney, even if they were not closed to commercial uses, according to Water Resources Minister Josh Frydenberg.
A warning has been issued across northern NSW to water users concerned about their future risks in drought-affected areas.
The announcement is part of a wider effort by 화천출장마사지the NSW G카지노 게임overnment and the NSW Water and Wastewater Authority to ensure that water restrictions are not overblown because their intended use is commercial, a spokeswoman for the Minister for Water, Murray McCully, said.
“The Federal Government, having examined the water restrictions around the Sydney area, is reducing those restrictions,” he said.
“We were hoping to reduce them by around 10% when we last did water restrictions last April, but the reduction is consistent with what we have done in the past and will continue.”
The changes will help prevent an increase in flooded parts of the City of Sydney’s northern and eastern boundary areas and are designed to make sure they are not closed to the residential or commercial use of infrastructure.
The water restrictions will be put on hold from June until July 2018 and will be re-evaluated at least every 12 months. “This will result in no water restrictions being in place in all areas 텍사스 홀덤until such time as the forecast changes.” Mr McCully said.
In the most severe of NSW’s major wetland areas, near the town of North Sydney, the restrictions will apply from July 2017 to the end of August 2018 and remain so, he said.
