Kung Carl XVI Gustaf och Drottning Silvia har rest till New York för att hälsa på prinsessan Madeleine och hennes make Chris O’Neill som natten mot fredag blev föräldrar för första gången åt en liten flicka. Dottern skulle egentligen födas imorgon, men kom hela fyra dagar för tidigt.
Chris passade på att luncha med kungaparet igår. Var Madeleine och den nyfödda babyn höll hus är oklart.
The tardiness of our arrival meant we had to head down for dinner shortly after arriving, but there was no sense of us being hurried in the superb three rosette restaurant, and the attentive staff let us take our time as we mused over the extensive a la carte menu and wine list.
