Russia

For every person booing these beautiful russian girls, I want to remind you that you are a complete fucktard with no sense of appropriate behavior.
The gay community at Eurovision tonight (and anyone else for that matter), booing at those poor russian girls should remember that they are a community that has been hated for a long time, and they are responding and projecting hatred onto the russian girls singing the same way they have been DEMANDING to not be treated. As if these girls were sent to represent homophobic Putin himself. As much as I love and support the gay community, I can’t even believe the behavior that was displayed tonight. You cannot hate and expect to be loved. You cant push people down like that. You give respect to people who deserve it and those girls did a great job tonight, even holding their heads high in spite of the negativity those imbecils were throwing at them.
I am so dissapointed and absolutely disgusted at every single person NOT clapping and appreciating the beautiful music that was made, and the points they deserved and instead dragging IRRELEVANT(to this arena) politics in to this singing competition. Music is supposed to bring us together, not turn us against each other.
It’s straight up bullying is what it is. Be so ashamed of yourself if you so much as uttered a ’boo’ or anything but support towards those russian sisters tonight.
The end before I get real upset. Oh and GO SANNA!!<3 spread some love people, come on for crying out loud.

  1. First of all, totally envious that you were there. Secondly, you’re right, unless the girls have ever said anything homophobic, it’s pretty crappy how they were treated. Their song was decent, and it’s not their fault that Putin is a jerk, anymore than it’s my fault that the Tea Party is in the US. I am gay, and I wouldn’t have booed the girls…and honestly, I would be surprised if any women were part of the booing.

I’m happy for Conchita for winning, and she did a great job, but I think I have heard the song enough already. On the other hand, I would be thrilled to hear more from Sanna
and The Common Linnets. This was my first time watching Eurovision (using the SVT app – I live in Pahrump, Nevada…60 outside Vegas) and it was so much fun.
