When The Coveteur peeked into Shipka’s closet a few years ago, it was full of bright dresses and ladylike, retro accessories. Her must-haves were surprisingly mature for someone so young. \u201cI can’t live without my dogs, Cole Haan boots, Mason Pearson hairbrush, headbands, and computer!\u201d she said in the interview. Um, me neither.<\/p>\n
In the years since that interview, Shipka’s style has gotten a little more mature, but she still brings a fresh youthfulness to every red carpet and event she attends. One of the best things about her style is the way she mixes silhouettes, colors, textures and patterns in a way that just works. Her Paris Fashion Week Look is just one example of it.<\/p>\n
The lacy bodice and necktie manage to be chic without being stuffy. Her dress at Teen Vogue’s Young Hollywood Party was just as chic. The bright flowers on her bodice somehow look fresh and modern.<\/p>\n
This look, from the Emmys, could have gone wrong so easily. It’s a little bit untraditional to wear a dress over pants, but Shipka totally pulled it off. Without the slim black pants, her look would’ve been overly girly. They add some much-needed chicness.<\/p>\n
