Live la bella vita

Did you know?

The Italian fashion industry is one of the countrys most important manufacturing sectors and one of the jewels in the crown of the ” Made in Italy” brand. Figures from Italian Fashion System reveal that in ”2007, the textile-fashion industry total sales were worth over 54 billion euros !!!. Congrats ! Italy is ranked highly in the top five of world exports for wool yarns, hisery, knitwear, and clothing. On top of  this we all know that Italian fashion is revered for its excellent craftsmanship, best finishing, highest quality textiles, and softest most supple leather things.

The golden days maybe is over to spend money like people have done in the past …. here are from the golden decades in the 90s.. starting with our own Swedish Topmodel Emma Sjoberg from the left, other famous girls here seen like Naomi, Kate, Helena, Linda, Christy, Simone, Claudia och Carla Bruni. And some other nice chicas from the Versace Happy days…

The classics are always in style.

In order to dress like an Italian, invest the largest proportion of your hard-earned cash on top-quality, classic items, such as suits or dresses. Look for simple, well-cut lines in muted colours, such as black, gray, navy or brown. You can wear these items time and again while keeping your look fresh and fashionable by mixing cheaper , more trendy pieces with the rest of your wardrobe. Ensure clothes are well cut and tailored, and if they dont fit you quite right when you buy them off the shelf, go to a tailor for alterations. For example, pulling up a dress strap by half an inch can boost your cleavage – it will be money well spent.

Fabulous, Loro Piana cashmere accessories and clothing.

Give and Take

Encourage your man to give you attention and pay you compliments when he genuinely wants to say something nice to you. If you are embarrassed or worried about appearing too egoistical or needy, why not start by complimenting him first? Comments on the color of this shirt or his necktie, or his haircut, or the smell of his aftershave. Theres always something you can praise – if not, why are you with the guy?

Buy him some nice gifts, maybe some jewleries 🙂 Because in Italy men pay careful attention to details especially with accessories. Try these ideas:

Dont insist on wearing your same old favourite ties, time and time again. Fashion changes. An Italian leather belt with some eye catching thing on it is so cool, my bf bought such a nice belt with two details on it, crocodile and mocca plate in brown its so classy and never goes out of style. Wear it with easy jeans and some nice shirt, relaxed.

Bambini are so stylish in Italy.

Its very expensive to have kids in Italy. Also because they like to dress up the kids like jeweleries.

You never see a little bambino ( boy ) in pink or red… blue is the sign or signal. Then you for sure understand what the little bambina’s colours are. Its really an happiness to see all these sweet principessa girlie dolls walking hand in hand with there confident mother on la strada.

This shop I just passed through in Milano when I was there last time, as you can see its an adorable baby shop.

I found this text sign in a mall in Mexico… Unbelievable!

Hope to never see these signs in Scandinavia.??!! WTF? Thanks for reminding the parents…
