Be Proud Of What You Have
A friend of mine was dating an older italian guy, like hundred years ago, who was virtually bald with the classic ” three hairs” sticking out of his head. He once grabbed my friends hand and said ” close your eyes” , senti ( feel this),” as he brusched her fingers along his remaining strands. She thought: ” What are you so proud of ? Its 3 hairs for, goodness sake ?” And as if he heard her, he said: ” Pura seta ( pure silk). ”
Unlike a lot of men, he was not at all embarressed or ashamed of his baldness, rather he was proud of what (little) he had. Follow his lead – be proud of yourself.
Often is hard to be that proud of what others could kill themselves over… thats why it makes you so unique.
