- Do the right thing, right now. When you feel overwhelmed with too much to do, try to identify the one thing that is causing most stress. Talking me, I can promise way too much things, to way to much persons 🙁 ! Start to make the phone calls -do.it You feel so much better, and far less stressed afterwards. Dont be a cowered and sending sms.
- Be aware of your body. Your body is the best barometer of how you are feeling. U see it from the outside and feel it from the inside. Tension in your head or shoulders is a physical giveaway of the pictures that you are making in your mind. Be aware of how your body is feeling – to pre-empt mental stress. Relax your shoulders, jaw and neck now and make your mental pictures positive. You will feel difference.
- Accept uncertainty. Situations where we feel impotent or have no control. We cant do anything about it. Such as if we are stuck in traffic, are extra stressful. In these situations, recognise what you cannot change and accept that there is no shame or guilt in it. Once you do that, you will start to regain calm. Though its easier if you stuck beside your anxious bf that is too stressy stressy – then YOU need to be the coach in calmness.
