Whether you want to go skiing, mountain trekking, or just want to relax and appreciate the lanscape’s wild beauty, Italy has all that you are in need for. Can other countries compete with the Italian food?
Italy has two man mountain ranges, the Alps and the Apennines. The Alps are in the north, and you are gonna skii in the famous Dolomites ( in the south Tyrol and Trentino regions: the main skiing resorts are here, including my home for my passione the world renowned Cortina.
Take the next flight to Venice ( Marco Polo airport) or Treviso / some minutes more nearby Cortina– airport of Ryan Air. Then hire a car to drive 1,20hour, and you will meet Cortina. Go 30min more and you come to Alta Badia. You find so sweet cottage house plan, very cosy, better prises and less people then in Cortina.
Last weekend when we visit Cortina it was the World Alpine Cup for women. Down there it was the goal !!!
Up there in the little red tent were the start ! Magical to finally see the girls throwing themselves out in the slopes, as I remember from TV, when it was time for Ingemar Stenmark back in the 80s 🙂 !
