Depressed people tend naturally to focus on their ” symptoms”, sadness, loss of energy, sleeping problems, changing of appetite, diminiched capacity for pleasure. Is happiness for these people an ultimate risk? So for happy people are they tending to caught up always laughing, having fun with friends, sleeping like a cat, eating healthy, hanging around?
I get so happy confused when I see her, especially in that Botticelli Venus dress famous painting, 1483 ” the date of birth” ! She ended up in Londra some days ago like a holy roman spirit in.it 🙂
Have you ever tried to ”help”, push, facing someone that is a disillusioned pessimist? To courage them? Its a hard way of work. They are often immune to unhappy surprises, their expectations are chronically low and they have since such along time anticipated anything but the worst… It seems that happiness IS the ultimate risk for them(?)
Make your own halloween ”wrecky wrecky costume” ! Easy with old doll and old slow dog 🙂
I think some people feel it more ”safe” to stay in a position of pessimism or depression – To be happy is to take the risk of losing that happiness. I can tell you all, that I have a friend that Ive given up helping…..Its about this degree that this person cant do shopping, afraid to drive, even to leave the house. This person feel the choices in life has become so constricted that they withdraw from human contact – or at least only hold on by space/internet….
The only question is to ask; ” What are you looking forward to”?
I did.
And, very often I didnt got an answer. Or I got strange answers, like this person were waiting for someone that for sure never will show up. We can help. But if the person doesnt want to be helped, is the hardest to deal with. Its sad, I couldnt help anymore. Loss of my own energy.
Though everyone is their own growing humans, and we cant be there for everyone years after years…… Who is looking after you?
