Italians are first and foremost family-oriented, always putting la famiglia before anything else.To Swedish eyes this may seem overly sentimental, oppressive, small-minded, or even like a bad movie, but for the Italians, family is the glue that makes individulas feel part of a larger whole. I agree in the last part – I just adore all these family surroundings – especially weddings. Everyone is happy and how much all are dancing and singing? Parents, children, grandparents,uncles, aunts, and cousins even the dogs.
I though miss the speaches that we have in Sweden at our cermonies. When your parents, sisters, brothers or your best friends standing up and having that fantastic speach telling you, that you are that special friend, and why you are so special 🙂 ! So we all can cry a little bit.
Yesterday it was the dreamday for Francesca and Michele.
They got married in Verona and the wedding party were up in the hills in a little cosy village called Marcemigo di Tregnago.
As we are so much up in to the movie-days here in Veneto region, I thought to fix the pictures as seen at La Biennale di Venezia, Verona’s nearby city, just 75min by car and you can swim out in Gran Canale over to Lido 🙂 !
