A true story my friend Claire Hesselbäck shared on her status just now. Warmed my heart:
”There Is a homeless man on the train selling our magazine ”Situation Stockholm”. He asks two teenage girls if they want to purchase and they answer” no, you are a junkie. ”I looked at his face how humiliated he went. When he walks by me to get off the train, I say, ”I buy it gladly.” The woman next to me took up 13euro and bought the magazine. She asks him to sit down next to us. All the way home we sat and talked, laughed and discussed a lot of things . He talked about his life, about why it became like this. Before he goes off the train, we get both a hug. ”Thank to your kindness” he says with tears in his eyes. A man sitting on the other side in the train saying loudly to the girls, ”now you are ashamed, aren’t YOU??? ”They are completely silent and pretend staring out the window.
” Karma’s only a bitch if you are!”
