My boyfriend’s semester unfortunately starts with really bad timing. His birthday is next week and he’s leaving this week. Anyway, I celebrated him a bit this Sunday and I just booked dinner for us the night before he leaves. We’re having sushi in a place I’ve never tried before but had recommended. Luckily the weather was quite nice so we could sit in my garden and have some key lime pie that I baked and lemonade from Aarstiderne. The key lime pie was actually really good but we were pretty full after lunch and soft ice. We had such a good day yesterday; lunch at Holy Smoke, ice cream outside Sofiero, a long walk admiring the rhododendrons in Sofiero and then we had some cake at my place. This Monday morning, which is a day off in Denmark and Sweden, I’m fixing lots of stuff and my Mum and I made really exciting plans that you’ll hopefully soon see on my blog!
It’s my Mum’s birthday today and luckily I have no school. I made her breakfast in bed; strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, an organic breakfast bun from the local bakery, a layered (important) carrot cake, a latte macchiato, apple and elderflower juice and Laurent Perrier champagne. That champagne is so good! Especially for breakfast since it has a really full taste. Now we’re getting ready to receive some deliveries, go for a walk and tonight we might go out for dinner at Pluto or get some sushi. My Mum arrived last night and she’s spending the weekend at my place. I’m so excited and happy that she’s here. Happy Birthday Mum!
Happy New Year! Thanks for following me this year! It’s been a super busy but fun and challenging year! I hope 2017 is going to be just a little more chill. I think moving in to my apartment will save me quite a lot of time! I hope you have fun plans tonight, I’m going to a party with my boyfriend and if I know myself right, I’ll probably forget to take pictures…
I completely forgot to show you one of the gifts I bought my boyfriend this Christmas! When I opened the mailbox (which was golden on the inside btw) I instantly regretted not getting myself a Burberry present for Christmas… It’s so gorgeous and over the top perfect. On the inside there were a pair of boxer shorts in the classic Burberry check.
Merry Christmas dear readers! (I had to add the 2016 in the caption even though it looks a little ugly because I hate when my blog posts have the same name…) Anyway, I hope you all have a lovely Christmas today or tomorrow. We’re celebrating Christmas today and now we’re off for a walk in the not-so-christmassy weather. Then we’re going to make chocolate confections, prep some Danish Christmas food (roast pork, caramelized potatoes, red cabbage, risalamande, cherry sauce) and then we’re singing Christmas carols and dancing around the tree. It feels like we’re the only family still doing that but it’s such a nice tradition! The Christmas tree we decorated turned out very well in my opinion, we always opt for a Disney styled Christmas tree. And then we’re opening the presents! My sister brought so many Japanese gifts that I’m really excited about. I also look forward to see people’s reactions when they open my gifts, hopefully they’ll be happy (but you never know lol). Merry Christmas!
My boyfriend and I celebrate 2 1/2 year anniversary today (a bit late due to illness). We make a bigger deal of every 1 1/2 year than 1 year because we are not usually together during our real anniversaries… And it’s more fun to go and have dinner during the summer (in my opinion). I’m wearing a new dress that I’ve been wanting for ages! It’s from a Thai brand called Poem and I really adore it! All the lines really are in the right places to accentuate curves and slimmer areas… We had a lovely dinner at Pålsjö Matbar in Helsingborg. Pålsjö Krog has the best view over the beach and the food was delicious too. We also had a couple of glasses of champagne. Thanks for being mine babe, I love you.
