The Plaza Food Hall.
I took a little detour last saturday from The Plaza brunch party in The OAK ROOM to The Plaza foodcourt (read Ostermalmshallen). The food court space is located right behind the condotel’s little shopping mall and features half a dozen booths serving everything from sushi to burgers, dumplings to tapas.
It’s a pretty space, and everything served —lobster! oysters! crab legs! aggressively pushed salty pizza!—ranged from decent to very good. A shame though because about 85 percent of food-focused New Yorkers will never set foot in the space (because, well, why would they?). But I think that the residents and guests at the Plaza and the fancy ladies that shop in its basement will have tasty noshes.
