Under mitt vistelse i Stockholm förra ( har haft en ofrivillig internetdetox under sportlovet i de italienska alperna …) veckan, fick vi möjlighet att bjuda in lite pressfolk till BREATHING WORKSHOP med Dominique Lonchant, som ni säkert hört om här på bloggen tidigare…
Vi var på, som alltid, underbara Yogayama, och dagen startade med en fantasisk rawfoodlunch!


Klara, deras restaurangchef, har bakom sig 15 års erfarenhet av mat, hälsa och vad som länkar de samman. Hon har sina utbildningar inom näringsterapi, holistisk teori samt en fil.mag i pedagogik med inriktning på faktorer som får en människa att göra en positiv livsförändring. Hon är även utbildad kock med stor passion för mat med mening – och så är hon ursöt dessutom! En av favoritmatställerna i Stockholm!

Med på Breathing Workshop var Mia & Lina – skribenterna till min favo-blogg – ”Food Pharmacy”! Där luftas mattips och säkra bakterie och svamp dräpande recept, som hjälper folk till bättre matkunskap i tight samarbete med Professor Stig Bengmark. Han är före detta chefskirurg och klinikchef på Lunds universitet. Cool sida – kolla in!

Dominique Lonchant – ”THE BREATHING MASTER”, träffade jag på Six Senses i Thailand för ca. 8 års sedan. Dominique har undervisat skådespelare, sångare, dykare, idrottare och yogis över hela världen i ”The Art of Breathing”. Med enkla tekniker som alla kan lära sig, får man verktygen till att andas på ett optimalt sätt.

Dominique egna ord om the Rabbit;
”While in The Rabbit , breathe deeply through the nostrils, forcing the air down into the
lowest abdominal area. Do 6 rounds of this breathing at each sitting, or until you feel
comfortable by breathing in this posture. Breathing in this form will quickly alleviate lower
abdominal tension, painful monthly menses, irregular periods, bladder and other urinary
tensions and prostate gland inflammation, hemorrhoids, varicose veins, and other conditions
associated with poor circulation into the lower torso, legs and feet.

Om kamelen säger han; ”The Camel Posture and its variations is excellent to force the air into the lower abdominal lobes of the lungs.”
Sit on the heels and exhale fully. On an incoming breath through the nose, lift
the buttocks off the heels, come up onto the knees and backbend
with arms dangling to the sides without any conscious pressure or strain on
the arms. Keep the eyes open to not fall over if you feel dizzy.
Sit down on the expelled breath through the nose.
Dominique Lonchant har undervisat sin andningsteknik, ”The Lonchant method”, till tusentals elever, i över 30 år. Och är författare till flera böcker och dvd´er. Dem som använder Dominiques metoder är bl.a. Robert Redford, Jim Carrey, Elisabeth Hurley, Hugh Grant, Karen Mulder.
I Skandinavien har han tidigare bla. gästat Yasuragi spa, Tylösand spa, Art Garden Spa, Stockholms Rehab klinik, Wallmanns salonger och de royala kretsarna i Danmarks kungahus samt gjort många ”private sessions”.
