Nyligen upptäckte forskare i Tyskland att drottning Hatshepsuts lilla flaska med lotion innehöll rester av tjära som orsakar cancer. Drottning Hatshepsut, var Egyptens största kvinnliga farao och man tror att hon smörjde in sig med sin skönhetscreme till döds.
”Efter två års forskning kom vi fram till att flaskan inte innehöll parfym utan en creme som skulle bota hennes eksem.” säger en talesperson från Universitetet i Bonn. Cremen hade stora mängder av palm och muskotnötolja, polyomättade fettsyror som kan bota hudsjukdomar och benzopyrene, en cancerframkallande hydrokarbon.
”Benzopyrene är en av de mest farliga substanserna vi känner till” säger farmakologen Helmut Wiedenfeld. ”Den är förbjuden i kosmetiska produkter men kan hittas i brända substanser som mat tex. i barbecue, kafé, cigarettrök och tjärat kol.
Vi har länge vetat att Hatshepsut hade cancer och tom dog av det men nu vet vi varför. Flera i hennes familj hade problem med huden och om hon nu använt salvan under flera år så är det klart att hon fick cancer.
Drottning Hatshepsut var en av de mest enastående kvinnorna i historien. Hon regerade från år 1473 till 1458 B.C. Hon var gift md sin halvbror. Hon var väl omtyckt och under hennes tid var det fridfullt och landet blomstrade.
Hennes mumie identifierades först år 2007 och visade en 50 åring, 1.52 cm lång, något överviktig med rakat hår fram och lång bak. Det finns en grupp på Facebook ” Forensic Egyptology ” som tvivlar på att flaskan med innehåll är äkta.” Så frågan återstår ” Dog Hatshepsut av en förgiftad dagcreme eller ?”
