Terrified!

I have one fear in life that trumps all other fears. I know it’s ridiculous and definitely not warranted for panic attacks but .. the dentist. Do I need to say anything else haha? I went yesterday to check out these teeth of mine that I need to pull out, and just talking about the whole procedure turned me into a sweaty mess.. I need to pull out two teeth, drill in giant screws in my jaw and put new porcelain teeth on top. Cool huh!?

No. Not cool. Terrifying. So I left the office without an appointment because he was booked until I leave (suuuch a bummer) and I figured that maybe I can hold off on this for a little while longer. Guess who called this morning with a cancellation for tomorrow?

I DONT WANT TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

  2. New teeth? Enquiring minds and all that. Gawd, I hope you survived the dentist! Blink twice for yes, not at all for no.

  3. Please get anesthesia…if you leave them you could end up with serious infection. It is scary…but there are ways to deal with it. Like you friend above said. Make the appointment. Also, dentists here in the state are super expensive. Do it with your mom there!

  4. Can’t they give you anesthesia, so you don’t have to be aware of any of it? Then you can wake up with happy shiny new teeth. It just means that someone has to drive you home, but it sounds like it would be nice if someone went with you anyway.

I have to go to the dentist, too. My pain meds gave me dry mouth, which made a bunch of my teeth break. Gee, thanks fibro, bad disks, and pharmaceutical companies who didn’t warn me of a side-effect that could give me effing meth mouth. Ha!, now I fit in better in my rural community of bad teeth.

Good luck at the dentist! It’ll be over with before you know it!

I don’t know what meds you take, but if any of them give you dry mouth, do whatever you can to take care of your teeth. I don’t have a problem with seeing the dentist, but I really hate the broken teeth after a lifetime of normal teeth.
