De senaste veckorna har jag varit upptagen med allt som har behövts fixas inför Los Angeles Swim Week nästa vecka. Torsdagen den 23 Juli har jag en show på The London Hotel i West Hollywood och det har varit en hel del att fixa och jag har såklart varit ute i sista minuten.
Hälften av prototyperna gjorde fabriken och hälften fick jag fixa hos en skräddare i Milano som jobbar mycket med de stora designskolorna i stan då jag hade väldigt tight med tid. Såklart hade alla skolorna sina final projects så jag fick tigga och be för att få dom att göra klart mina saker i tid. Men som sagt; vi lyckades fixa två fotograferingar, skicka iväg prototyperna, skicka över bilderna till företaget som gör min katalog och jag håller tummarna på att katalogen hinner komma till LA innan torsdag. Det skulle tagit EN dag att få ihop katalogen, det tog 6 dagar.. räkna aldrig med att något går rätt första gången…
Det tog nästan TVÅ veckor för mitt paket att komma till Los Angeles, vilket gjorde att vi missade provingen med modellerna. Äntligen i fredags fick dom mitt paket efter att sändningen varit försenad på grund av uteblivna dokument då italienare är de mest vimmsiga folket som finns. Alla hänvisar en till höger och vänster och ingen förstår någonting… när allt borde varit klart då fastnar mitt paket TRE dagar i tullen i Italien på grund av att jag inte hade italienskt IVA (!??) EORI-nummer fixades vilket tog ännu ett tag. Jag beställde EXPRESS men ändå tog det ytterligare ett par dagar att komma till USA.. väl i Los Angeles var det fast då jag behövde betala en tullavgift på 130$ för att få ut paketet…….. !!!!
Jag beställde nya visitkort och vykort ca 2 veckor sedan och dom skulle komma i förra veckan direkt till mig här i Sverige, vilket hade gett mig ett par dagar för att sedan skicka vidare till USA. Tisdag NATT får jag ett mail av leverantören att alla beställningar är försenade. Jag ringer dom på morgonen och det har varit en brand på deras fabrik i Holland så TIDIGAST delivery är den 27:e Juli, alltså 4 dagar efter showen…. Jag har inget annat val än att avboka beställningen och får leta efter en leverantör i USA, och nu om allt går rätt till så ska det komma imorgon direkt till Los Angeles. Tyvärr hinner jag inte själv först få ta en titt på varken korten eller katalogen men tyävrr enda lösningen för att få dom till Los Angeles i tid.
Vad jag lärt mig från detta… VA INTE UTE I SISTA MINUTEN. BÖRJA I TID!! Mina nerver har varit på helspänn 24/7 två veckor och har inte haft något annat i tankarna.. 50/50 att saker och ting går som du tänkt dig. I slutändan brukar allt lösa sig, till det bättre till och med men innan det……
Nu väntar jag bara på confirmation från fotografen i LA att han kan fixa bilder + video, confirmation på mina korts delivery och på att katalogen kommer i tid, sen hoppas jag på att dom i LA fixar en amazing show!!
