Då börjar problemet. Det är smärtsamt, dyrt och ingen garanti att allt försvinner. Metoden som används idag är med laser.Laserljuset spränger sönder färgpigmentet i tatueringen till mindre partiklar, vilka kroppen sedan själv tar hand om och forslar bort. Ibland sprängs färgpigmenten djupt men inte tillräckligt för att forslas bort. Vissa färger är också svåra, nästintill omöjliga att få bort.
För ett år sedan upptäckte jag ett franskt företag som länge tillverkat apparaturer inom medicinska och estetiska marknaden. Dom hade tagit fram en helt ny metod för att avlägsna tatueringar. Metoden går ut på att läkare eller sjuksköterska injicerar en syra i samma djup där pigmenten ligger. Det bildas en sårskorpa av blod och alla pigment. Man behandlar stället med en läkande sårsalva och efter tre veckor så är hudpartiet exakt likt det var innan tatueringen. Inga ärr, skador eller pigment kvar. Proceduren görs cirka tre gånger på olika hudställen. Kostnaden är väsentligt mindre än med laser, cirka 4000 kr. Med laser kostar det 5000 – 6000 kr och det krävs många fler besök.
