Som mångårig expert inom estetik och anti-ageing, arbetar jag idag även som rådgivare till flera företagare inom branschen.
Det är mycket oegentligheter som pågår kan jag säga. Företag tar sig in på kliniker och skönhetssalonger för att sälja på dom oseriösa produkter, konsumenter blir lurade att tro på ineffektiva apparatbehandlingar och mycket mer.
Just nu är jag mycket engagerad i hur Tyska organet TÜV har hanterat två fall. TÜV har som uppdrag av EU att certifiera produkter vi använder i Europa.
En skandal är att dom medicinskt certifierade bröstimplantaten vid namnet PIP från ett franskt företag. Under 13 år gjorde dom inga kontroller för att försäkra sig att bröstimplantaten höll den höga kvaliteten. Fransmannen som tillverkade dom hade börjat blanda i industrisilikon istället för medicinsk. Ni förstår risken av att ha silikon som används i byggbranschen i brösten! Han fick fängelse.
Nu processar också en fransk advokat för massor av kvinnor, mot TÜV så att det kan få en kompensation och pengar för att operera ut de farliga implantaten. Inte alla har haft råd att göra detta.
Så ni förstår, här krävs det ett handtag för att få bukt på estetikbranschen. I mars är jag inbjuden till Europaparlamentet i Bryssel , jag tänker då ta upp detta problem.
