Allt oftare får jag frågor vad man kan göra mot mörka ringar under ögonen. Vilken creme finns det som kan hjälpa?
Tyvärr ingen, blir mitt svar. Huden är extremt tunn under ögonen. Med åren förlorar man också volym i ansiktet och då syns blodkärlen under ögonen. Huden kring ögonlocken är den tunnaste huden i kroppen (ca 0,5 mm tjockt jämfört med 2 mm i andra områden). Likt åderbråck kan mörka ringar under ögonen vara ärftligt. När blodet passerar genom de stora venerna, nära ytan av huden, kan den producera en blåaktig färgton. Desto mer genomskinlig huden är, desto mörkare är tonen under ögonen. Hos personer med en djupt liggande benstomme, kan skuggan bidra till den mörka färgen under ögonen.
Men det kan också vara andra orsaker som allergier, astma och eksem.
Kliar det vid ögonen och man gnider ofta så kan man få mörka ringar. Hösnuva är inte kul.
Det finns även mediciner som orsakar att blodkärlen vidgar sig och huden vid ögonen blir mörkare.
Brist på mineraler som järn kan orsaka mörka ringar. Järnbrist är den vanligaste typen av blodbrist. Huden kan också bli mer blek under graviditeten och menstruationen. Detta gör att de underliggande venerna under ögonen blir mer synliga.
Brist på sömn eller överdriven trötthet kan orsaka blekhet av huden, vilket gör att blodet under huden blir mer synlig, blåare eller mörkare.
Mörka ringar blir mer märkbara och permanent med åldern. Orsaken är att vi blir äldre, huden förlorar kollagen, blir tunnare och mer genomskinlig.
Vad kan då göra? Finns det en lösning?
Ja, det finns faktiskt en lösning. Det är en tear trough behandling. Här injicerar man en monofasisk hyaluronsyra som Stylage (inte bifasisk, den ger en blå färg) in i området under ögonen. På så sätt fyller man på igen med den volym som gått förlorad och den mörka färgen försvinner direkt. Det håller i upp till ett år. Behandlingen tar ca. 15 – 20 minuter att göra.
Dock är det mycket viktigt att behandlaren är läkare eller sjuksköterska och utbildad på just tear trough. Kostnad, ca. 3000-4000 kr.
