Vet ni att solskyddsfaktorn dvs. SPF uppfanns 1962 och idag används den fortfarande över hela världen som en riktlinje på skydd mot solbränna.
Om man frågar någon hur den fungerar eller ska skydda mot solbränna, så är det knappt någon som vet.
Hur som helst, mannen som uppfann det hela heter Franz Greitner och hans idé var att man först måste sätta sig i solen med en klocka och se hur länge det tar innan huden blir röd i solen. Säg att man blir röd efter 8 minuter, då ska man multiplicera 8 minuter med solfaktorn på solskyddflaskan man har. Om det står SPF 10 så blir det 8 x 10 = 80 minuter. Detta är då tiden man kan sola säkert utan att bränna sig. SPF 10 skyddar dig med 90% från att bränna i dig solen och 1962 fanns det inga solskyddfaktorer som var högre på marknaden än SPF 10 eftersom det redan var tillräckligt med skydd.
Med åren blev människorna mer oroliga för hudcancer och solskyddtillverkarna ökade faktorerna till 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50 och mer.
Problemet blev då att grundtanken på skyddet med SPF inte längre gick att räkna ut då skyddet i % inte korrelerar med solkyddsfaktorn, SPF. Tänk er om SPF 10 ger 90% i skydd, ja då är det knappast mycket skydd kvar från SPF 10 till 50 i %, eller hur? Man kan helt enkelt inte räkna ut ett säkert skydd längre.
Men ingen har kommit på en ny lösning och flera länder över hela världen har fortfarande som lag att alla solskyddsprodukter måste ha den skyddande faktorn SPF på flaskan med solkyddskrämen.
Det är därför inga hudläkare längre förklarar hur man ska räkna ut SPF. Det enda dom kan säga är smörj in dig ofta, undvik solen mellan klockan 12 till 15 och så vidare.
När jag blev tillfrågad om jag kunde att ta fram ett solskydd så tänkte jag att något inte stod rätt till. Ingen förstod sig på SPF och skyddet mellan faktor 30 och 50 var bara 1% mer. Hur många står inte idag framför hyllan med solskydd och velar mellan faktor 30 och 50 fastän det inte är mer skydd i 50 än 1%!!
Inte så konstigt att alltfler får hudcancer över hela världen. SPF är missledande, vilseledande, oriktig, falskt och förrädisk.
År 2012 utvecklade jag en helt ny metod som kommer att revolutionera hela solskyddsindustrin, Patent SE 536 450 C2; Method and device for determination of safe tanning time.
På flaskan med solskydd finns en UV-sensor som på en sekund mäter hur stark solen är när man riktar den mot solen. Då ser man om solen är svag, medel, stark eller extrem. Bredvid finns en tabell som visar exakt hur länge man kan sola beroende på solstyrkan och hudtypen. Är du rödhårig tillhör du hudtyp 1, blond med blå ögon 2, brunhårig 3 och olivfärgad hud med svart hår 4.
Metoden är testad i Sverige under 2 år och vi har sålt den på apoteket, kliniker och webben. Den fungerar och äntligen kan alla sola säkert utan att skada eller bränna sin hud i solen. Metoden kommer att licensieras till alla solskyddtillverkare som vill ta ansvar för sina kunder och hjälpa dom att skydda sig mot faran av hudcancer som ökar snabbare än all annan cancer. Sedan år 2000 har fallen fördubblats – och sjukdomen tar cirka 500 liv i Sverige om året.
